March 2026 - More chaos caused by AI

Memory prices becoming stable

EU markets showing some signs of price stability, not much sign of price decrease or production increase.

While production is catching up, prices will remain high until either AI industry collapses or uses a newer tech for memory and processing, in which case we'll need new energy technologies too.

Maybe we should get AI on that rather than expanding capacity for generated scams.

Google has just released a paper on how they are improving memory usage and speed and it appears to have an effect on AI companies, as they appear to be attempting to escape the orders they made causing this mess.

SSD and high capacity hard drives prices rise

Again, AI companies who can afford to buy out entire years worth of production ruining it for everyone else.

This time buying up high capacity drives and crippling the market for smaller (under 8tb) drives due to manufacturing not keeping up.

CPU's next?

Reports suggest CPU's are going to be next, not too sure why as datacenters will be using specialized cores. One reason is that consumer CPU production will be reduced to build enough high specification datacenter CPU's. Other reason is stock fear so everyone hears this news and buys what they can.
