Christmas 2025

It's that time again.. I'd like to say Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all our visitors (before I get onto the terrible stuff).

More supply chain woes

You can blame AI for this one too, memory chips are affected this time, so Solid State Drives and Memory modules are in short supply so badly that GPU's are being redesigned to ship with less memory builtin and major PC builders are starting to hoard memory kits.

Good news is that big Hard Disk Drives are becoming cheaper and more reliable (until they start getting brought up in huge units).

Micron, who owns Crucial memory (makes SSDs and Memory modules for consumers), have decided to supply AI only (chasing cash?). If that bubble bursts, I really not sure whats going to happen with that sector.

Other fabricators are looking to take advantage of government funds to bring manufacturing into other countries, but I feel we need better materials for that to happen more efficiently.

More AI Slop

No, not here. I can't even think up any AI prompt what can create anything useful.

Some people more clever than me have managed to break AI out of its programming with all sorts of nonsense, like poetry, output in a specific way.

Christmas

As we enter an energy and parts crisis (yet again), We're not sure what we can see or do in the future with tech or our services.

Lately I've been focusing on getting all our sites more efficient and concentrating on reducing build times.

I'd like to make some creative examples so i can sell templates (or source files), but I have no creativity left and getting too bogged down in fine tuning how it works.

Plus i'm not that great at writing content (averaging around 4 weeks to write a post!).

I'll likely be back after early January, to see what fresh hell this world gives us.
